Information we collect
Information you give us
- Quote requests: your name, email address, phone number, pickup and delivery locations (including ZIP codes and addresses), and shipment details such as weight, dimensions, pieces, vehicle information, pickup dates and special requirements.
- Contact requests: your name, email, phone number and the message you send.
- Transportli Drivers applications: your name, phone number and email; your vehicle type, year, make and model; whether you have your own USDOT or MC number and the number if you do; whether your motor vehicle record (MVR) is clean and, if it is not, the description of violations or suspensions that you write. We keep that description in our own records and do not send it by email.
- Reviews and feedback you submit.
Information collected automatically
- Device and browser information, IP address, pages viewed, links clicked, referring page, and approximate location derived from your IP address.
- Interaction data from our tools (for example, which calculator options you use). The values you type into calculators and planners stay in your browser unless you submit a quote request.
- Cookies and similar technologies, described below.
Information from others
We may receive information from carriers and tracking providers about your shipment, such as status updates and delivery confirmation, and from public sources such as the FMCSA when we verify a carrier.
How we use information
- To prepare and deliver quotes, match your shipment with carriers, arrange pickup and delivery, and provide tracking and customer support.
- To contact you about your request by email, phone or text, including confirmations and updates.
- To review driver applications and contact applicants about loads.
- To operate, secure and improve our website and tools, prevent fraud and spam, and understand how people use our pages.
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.
- To send you service-related messages and, where permitted, information about our services. You can opt out of marketing messages at any time.
How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as described here:
- Carriers and delivery partners: the contact details and shipment details needed to quote, book and move your shipment.
- Partner companies (driver applications): if you apply with a box truck or hot shot rig, we may share your application details, including your contact details and vehicle information, with partner companies that have loads for those vehicles, so they can contact you.
- Service providers: companies that help us run the site and our business, such as hosting, email delivery, analytics, shipment tracking and location lookup services. They may use the information only to provide services to us.
- Legal and safety: when required by law, or to protect the rights, property or safety of Transportli, our users or others.
- Business transfers: if we are involved in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
Cookies and analytics
We use cookies and similar technologies to keep the site working and to understand how it is used. We use Google Analytics (through Google Tag Manager) and Ahrefs Analytics to measure traffic and the use of our pages and tools. These services may set cookies or collect your IP address and device information. You can control cookies through your browser settings, and you can use browser or device settings to limit tracking. We do not currently offer a separate cookie preferences panel on the site.
Third-party services
To provide some features we send limited information to third parties, for example a location lookup service to turn a ZIP code or address into coordinates, and a government vehicle-data service to decode a vehicle identification number. Our site links to other websites, including government sites; their privacy practices are their own.
How long we keep information
We keep personal information for as long as needed to provide our services, resolve disputes, meet legal and accounting requirements and enforce our agreements.
Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
